The YAESU DR-2XE is a digital and conventional FM dual mode repeater that covers the VHF and UHF amateur radio band.
Replacing your existing analogue FM repeater with a Yaesu DR-2XE provides contining use of Analogue FM whilst integrating the use of digital communications functions through its unique AMS capabilities. Full support for DG:ID and interlinking to other DR-2XE repeaters using the LAN-01 option provides extended coverage for users.
Extensive use is made of modern touch screen technology using a 3.5″ Full Colour Screen for configuration and monitoring of the DR-2XE repeater.Front Panel Microphone socket & Front facing Loudspeaker with volume control allows the repeater to be used as a base station or for transmitter testing. All connection on the rear panel including DB15 I/O connector for interfacing to and external Repeater controller if required. An external DC 13.8V 20A power Supply is required.
Easy Migration
The Repeater controller, Receiver , Transmitter are all packaged into standard 2U 19\” Rack panel for easy replacment of an existing repeater. All the ancillary equipment like Cavity Filters, Duplexers, Amplifiers, Backup Battery supply can all be used in the new installation.

Multi Site Repeater Link
The MSRL ( Multi Site Repeater Link) function allows the repeater operator to link multiple repeaters over a Wide-Area-Network (WAN) or Local Area Network (LAN) across short or long distances using direct connectiivty into a variety of networking environmens to provide Digital and Analogue communications.

DR-2XE is a dual band (2m/70cm), High Power (50W/20W/10W ) Amateur Analogue and Digital (System Fusion) Repeater with 3.5\” Touch Screen Colour Display mounted in 19″ 2U Cabinet. Extensive signalling features including Automatic Mode Selection enables cross mode ( C4FM <> FM) conversations via the repeater as well as conventional FM (FM <> FM) and digital (C4FM <> C4FM) contacts.
